Ohanae Teams Up with iCell Network to provide free security solution to Wireless@SG users
Singapore - Feb 25, 2008
Users of the nationwide Wireless@SG who have signed up with iCell Network, one of Singapore's major wireless network providers, will get a bonus from this month in the form of a robust security solution that they can run off their USB flash drives and Apple iPods.
Ohanae, a home-grown security company with offices, headquartered in California and with its Asia Pacific office in Singapore, has teamed up with iCell Network to offer a free six-month license of its SecurWorkplace™ security solution.
Currently, there are more than 800,000 Wireless@SG users. Initially 10,000 selected Wireless@SG users will receive a coupon code in their email that allows them to extend the standard trial period to 6 months. Wireless@SG users can download the Securworkplace™ software from iCell Network's Wireless@SG login page and install it in their USB flash drives, iPods, and selected mobile phones. At the end of the six-month free usage, they can continue using it at a special promotion price.
Security On-The-Go
Based on its own patent-pending technology, Ohanae's flagship product called Securworkplace™ forms an all-in-one security solution that incorporates several security features:
- Anti Key Logging
- Portable Bookmarks
- Personal Single Sign-On
- Phishing Protection
- Data Sanitization
- Data Protection
Ohanae™ changed the paradigm of online security, empowering consumers to take control of protecting themselves from identity theft before it happens and manage their own personal secure workplace.
For all its sophistication and strong security, Securworkplace™ is extremely easy to use. For example, multiple strong passwords are automatically generated just by typing"*+". Each of these passwords, bound to the sites the user logs into, is retrieved by typing "**".
Because Securworkplace™ is deployed on ubiquitous USB storage devices, this holistic solution can be used on virtually any PC running Windows XP and Windows Vista, making the vision of portable security a reality.
Its portability and support for multiple sites also makes it a viable alternative to token-based authentication systems such as those used by banks for two-factor authentication.
Enhancing Wireless Security
"Wireless Internet networks can be notoriously insecure if not implemented correctly," said Ken Chua, CEO of iCell Network. "We are therefore delighted to team up with Ohanae whose solution will help our users secure their online experience."
Ken added that iCell's review of Ohanae's Securworkplace™ has given it the confidence to share it with its users. "Securworkplace™ provides robust security for online users" he said. "It's also very easy to use and would encourage users to use strong passwords. We're also very impressed with its abilities to prevent keylogging, phishing and even man-in-the-middle attacks."
Describing the deployment of Securworkplace™ as timely, Ohanae President and CEO, Gregory Hauw, said, "Online transactions such as online payment, e-banking and e-commerce are being hampered by major security threats such as keylogging, phishing, and man-in-the-middle attacks. Securworkplace™ provides an easy-to-use and robust security solution, which will give users greater confidence in using online services."
"We hope our partnership with iCell Network will help wireless@SG users secure their online experience," he added.
